nineplanfailed first emerged from the South Wales underground with a sound built on abrasion, rhythm, and unease. Early releases established the group as a project interested less in revivalism than in tension: guitar lines that cut rather than decorate, drums that hold the room in place, bass that drives everything forward, and vocals that move between chant and confrontation. Their debut EP, released through Death Monkey Records, left a durable trace and later returned in remastered form. After a long period of silence, the band restarted with the original sense of friction intact but a different frame around it. The current phase is more deliberate, less crowded, and more exact about what the songs are doing. Themes of control, collapse, identity under pressure, and domestic tension recur without being overstated. Live, the material is direct and physical rather than ornamental. Recent activity includes radio support for Past The Sun and early response to the current single house, which has already generated over 2,000 streams alongside playlist traction and listener engagement ahead of release. The band have also recently recorded in Cardiff's Evolution Studio with producer Joe Gibb (Jane's Addiction, The Cure, Depeche Mode) to begin work on a run of future releases, the first of which, Your P*rn Is Not My P*rn, is scheduled for release in the summer. Festival and club appearances across South Wales continue alongside this release cycle.
